The following terms of use apply to the downloading and use of DRKS data. These apply to all data received from the DRKS, regardless of format and method of collection. By downloading the DRKS data, you accept these DRKS Terms of Use below.
1. DRKS database
The DRKS database is operated by BfArM to inform patients, family members, scientific institutions and ethics committees about up-to-date information on clinical trials in Germany.
BfArM is under no circumstances liable for damages resulting from the use of the data in the DRKS database. None of the information obtained through the use of the DRKS may be used in any way in clinical care without consulting a physician or licensed healthcare professional. BfArM is not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, timeliness and/or use of the displayed content for study records.
2. Availability
The DRKS data are publicly accessible and free of charge.
3. Use of DRKS data
- BfArM, as operator and provider of the DRKS, does not assume any express or implied warranties with regard to the data contained in the database and furthermore accepts no liability for the use of parts of the database by third parties or the results of such use.
- For any publication or distribution of DRKS data
- the source of the data (DRKS) shall be indicated
- the data must be kept up to date
- the date of receipt of the data from the DRKS shall be clearly indicated.
- The information obtained from the DRKS database shall not be used for marketing, advertising or commercial purposes.
- BfArM shall not be the originator of the deposited studies. They are therefore not official works within the meaning of § 5 UrhG. Utilisation (e.g. reproduction, exhibition, distribution etc.) is therefore not permitted without the consent of the author. Please contact the author of the respective study.
- The name or logo of the DRKS may not be used without the consent of BfArM in connection with the use of data from the DRKS database.
These DRKS Terms of Use apply as long as the user retains all data received from the DRKS database.
