Brief Summary in Lay Language
An online survey will be conducted to evaluate the current physiotherapy management for patients with hip and knee osteoarthritis. We will invite German physiotherapists who are involved in the management of patients with hip and knee osteoarthritis. We will describe the treatment modalities most frequently used in osteoarthritis management and guideline adherence regarding the German AWMF guidelines will be assessed. Participants will be asked for awareness of different osteoarthritis guidelines. In addition, general barriers to guideline use in clinical practice as well as, in particular, barriers and facilitators to the implementation of the AWMF guidelines will be assessed.
Brief Summary in Scientific Language
The aim of the study is to evaluate the current physiotherapy management of patients with hip and knee osteoarthritis and to explore physiotherapists' adherence to the recommendations from the German AWMF guidelines for hip and knee osteoarthritis.
