Brief Summary in Lay Language

The study intends to ask patients aged 80 years and older whether they are willing to accept the invitation for vaccination against SARS-CoV-2 expected in January 2021. Current recommendations by the German advisory bod (Ständige Impfkommission) put persons aged 80 years and older in the category of those invited among the first. Currently, there are central vaccination centers installed in all cities and counties. To guide logistics it is of paramount interest to advice such local agencies on the rate of invited persons to be expected during the early phase of the vaccination program. In order to reach persons aged 80 years and older patients of several hospitals will be invited to participate. They will receive information on the survey along with a short questionnaire. Data will be anonymous.
