Brief Summary in Scientific Language
After successful cardiopulmonary resuscitation, the fatty acid concentrations of patients with preclinical cardiovascular arrest will be analyzed by mass spectrometry. In addition, the enzymes and metabolic pathways important for fatty acid metabolism will be determined using gene array investigations. One year after cardiovascular arrest, a telephone interview is planned in which the current neurological status of the patient will be determined. Retrospectively, an evaluation of the findings collected and documented during the inpatient stay as part of the clinical routine will be carried out.
It is planned to correlate the obtained molecular biological data with the survival and the neurological outcome.
