Trial Description
Title
Influence of socio-demographic variables on the development of chronic of pain and on the therapeutic response of multimodal pain Treatment programs
Trial Acronym
Response-Detect
URL of the Trial
[---]*
Brief Summary in Lay Language
In the development of chronic pain, various parameters as demographic data and co-morbidities, are relevant risk factors. In addition, it has been shown that the avoidance or modification of some influenceable factors can have a positive effect on pain or chronicity. The areas of job, job or "lifestyle" (for example, heavy lifting, vibration, overweight, smoking) are already well studied, but others such as the living situation so far not. In the treatment of chronic pain, multimodal pain therapies today are considered the so-called "golden standard". Despite sufficient evidence on the efficacy of such therapies, not all patients benefit equally well. The aim of the study presented here is therefore to identify individual risk factors with regard to:
1. the onset of chronic pain and
2. Non-response to multimodal pain therapies.
By identifying such factors / predictors, it may then be possible to better prevent chronic pain and / or improve therapeutic success by increasing the individualization of multimodal therapy programs.
