Brief Summary in Scientific Language

In the feasibility study the experts, working in the psychiatrics clinic for children and young people, were interviewed to assess the feasibility of the game. In this descriptive study the think Aloud Method helps to find out hints to errors of game sequences, the quality of the game, hints to the needs of the users and locations where to play the game. The study should help to decide in which way the game could optimized by the results and support the decision to the next action.

Interventions/Observational Groups

  •   For a new developed game to observe symptoms in traumatic experience in children, should appraise the feasibility of the game. As the first step of testing psychiatric, 6 till 8 nurses are interviewed as experts in their fields by the researcher.
In the feasibility study experts, working in the psychiatrics clinic for children and young people, were interviewed 20-25 minutes based on an interview guide, to assess the feasibility of the game. At every interview two experts participate at the same time to create a more natural atmosphere. During the interview the resarcher observe the emotionals expresions of the participants. In this descreptive study the think aloud method helps to find out hints to errors of game sequences, the quality of the game, hints to the needs of the users and locations where to play the game. The last interview is planned at the End of July 2018. Latest 8 weeks after the last interview the feasibility of the game schould be proved. The study should help to decide in which way the game could optimized by the results and support the decision to the next action. With finishing my master thesis the study should be ended.

Primary Outcome

The Data collection is dellivered by 20-30 minutes Interviews based on a self developed interview guid. The participants were observed by the researcher on an observation sheet during the interview based on self created criteria. The observed data are subsequently included in the results of the study.
The feasibility of the game is approved, if more than half of the participants would assess the game as useful and would play the game in their field. More than half of the participants means for example: there are all together 8 participants: if 5 of them support the game, than the feasibility would be approved. As the same principle the number of game crashes are beeing investigated.
The endpoint of the feasibility and the sources of error which are be found 8 weeks after the last interview. The last interview is planed at the end of July 2018.

Secondary Outcome

The game instructions are clear (Yes/No). The number of positive and negative manifestations of the study participants during the interview; all action cards in the game are understandable (Yes/No); the number of sources of error. The data are collected in an 20-25 minutes interview, based on a self-developed interview guid. These data will be analysed latest 8 weeks after the interview. The last Interview is planned at the end of July 2018.
