start of 1:1-Block public summary

Brief Summary in Lay Language

Current European Resuscitation Guidelines propose the use of echocardiography during resuscitation e. g. for diagnosis. So far it is unknown whether this causes any delay during resuscitation. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the influence of transthoracic echocardiography on resuscitation processes as well as the diagnostic accuracy and the therapeutic options derived from it.
