Brief Summary in Scientific Language

The incidence of chronic kidney insufficiency as well as the better outcome after living versus cadaver donation result in a higher frequency of non-directed kidney donations.
In this study we want to examine the attitude towards this kind of donation by means of a self-created questionnaire. Two cohorts will be surveyed, users of the social media platform Facebook as well as inpatients at the dialysis centre of the University Hospital of Cologne. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the attitude of German persons towards organ donation, especially anonymous kidney donation and to compare the two groups' answers. Furthermore, we want to enquire the attachment style of the two cohorts via the ECR-RD12 questionnaire and put it in one context with the answers given to the questions regarding transplantation topics.
