Brief Summary in Lay Language

The effects of emotional stress on the human body have been well appreciated. Besides phsiological changes as altered blood pressure, elevated heart rate or changes in the blood cholesterol levels, emotional stress has also been linked to adverse effects like impaired wound healing, influence on the immune system and cardiovascular disease. In this study we plan to investigate the effects of socioenvironmental stress on the human blood development.
