UTN now available under new link

The World Health Organization (WHO) assigns a Universal Trial Number (UTN) to each clinical trial upon request.

A UTN is a unique number that is generated by the WHO for each clinical trial that is registered in one of the WHO primary registries. It is intended to facilitate the identification of trials and is available on the search portal of the International Clinical Trials Registry Platform (ICTRP) of the WHO.

Once the first version of the study protocol has been generated, a UTN can be easily applied for free of charge via the WHO platform.  Please note that the UTN is not a registration number and is therefore defined as a secondary ID in the DRKS.
